Kirk Chaffee is a Republican candidate for the State House of Representatives in District 29 which include parts of Butte, Meade and Pennington Counties. Chaffee is a first-time candidate for the South Dakota Legislature. He has previously been appointed to the State House and Senate Ag Land Assessment Implementation and Oversight Advisory Task Forces.

Word is out tonight that Kirk Chaffee beat Bill Kluck 28 to 18 in the 3rd Round of voting to win the nomination to the vacant District 29 house seat. The seat was open as a result of state representative Larry Rhoden being named as Kristi Noel’s running mate in the race for Governor.

Kirk Chaffee, of Whitewood, has been chosen to replace Larry Rhoden as a Republican candidate for the state House of Representatives in District 29.

Kirk Chaffee is a Republican candidate for District 29 of the South Dakota House of Representatives. The primary election took place on June 5, 2018. The general election is being held on November 6, 2018.

Fellow Republicans: Congratulations to Kirk Chaffee who was selected on 26 July 2018 as our candidate for the District 29 House seat. He will now be listed on the November ballot replacing Larry Rhoden who has accepted the nomination to be our next LT Governor.
